Booktrack success and the next short story in the Seventeen series
Happy New Year you all!
Here’s hoping you saw the start of 2015 in great style. This New Year represents a fresh step in my writing career as I try to go into the next gear. It should be packed full of great writing, new beginnings, and the start of wonderful friendships. So, here’s a couple of news that have made the first day of this year awesome for me.
First up, Soul Meaning has been the most popular read on Booktrack since I put up the first chapter on December 18. It’s been a hit with the creators of the company and fans of the platform alike, which has made me so happy! If you haven’t checked it out, go do so now. King’s Crusade is also on there and I hope to keep adding more chapters in the coming months.
The second news is that Dancing Blades (A Seventeen Series Short Story) is now ready and will go on pre-order at the end of January, on the day of release of First Death, the first short story of the series. If you want to find out when and get another short story free, sign up to the newsletter. You will be the first to know about my upcoming works and get advance previews of covers and blurbs, including the first chapter of the next novel Ashstorm (Seventeen Series Book 4). So here’s the cover and blurb of Dancing Blades for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
1624. Edo period. Japan.
When hunted half-breed immortal Lucas Soul hears tales of legendary samurai Musashi Miyamoto during his travels in the Far East, he sails to Japan to meet the great man and convince him to take him on as an apprentice.
Musashi refuses to agree to his request, leaving Soul with no option but to shadow the samurai and repeatedly challenge him to duel, in the hope of proving his worth. But things takes a sinister turn when Soul stumbles upon a plot that threatens the life of Musashi’s son.
Can the immortal rescue the young man in time and change the master’s mind?
Join Soul as he embarks on an exciting adventure that sees him grow as a warrior and gain the respect of the greatest samurai who has ever lived.
Dancing Blades is a short story set in the action-packed world of AD Starrling’s award-winning thriller series Seventeen.
