Want a new reading experience?
What if I told you that you could listen to rain and wind as you read a book? Or follow the protagonist of your favorite novel as he or she walks down a road, punches the bad guys, and shoots up the world? What if you could “be” there, from a sensory point of view, as the final climactic battle unfolds before your eyes?
Welcome to Booktrack, a new reading experience that is going to blow your mind! An innovative platform invented by two brothers from Auckland, Booktrack came into existence in 2011 and was upgraded to an active studio in 2013, enabling readers to enjoy music, ambience, and sound effects specific to the book they’re reading, at their own reading speed. With an app available for PC and Mac, Booktracks can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play stores and currently offer a free reading experience for the projects available. Authors can upload their books and compose their soundtracks from the extensive and ever growing library available on the site.
I was thrilled to be invited by the creators of Booktrack to contribute work to this growing platform currently enjoyed by over 500 000 readers. The first chapters of Soul Meaning and King’s Crusade are now live and are receiving rave reviews. Go check them out and let me know what you think! And yes, I compiled them myself!
